Lisa Wolff studied Biosciences (B.Sc.; 2008–2011) at the University of Rostock and Molecular Medicine (M.Sc.; 2012–2014) at Uppsala University, Sweden. She conducted her master’s thesis research within the Human Protein Atlas project.
Following this, she worked in the research and development department of a diagnostics company. From 2016 to 2021, she pursued her doctoral studies at the University of Greifswald at the Institute of Pharmacy in the research group of Prof. Bednarski, specializing in Pharmaceutical and Medicinal Chemistry. Her research focused on investigating the biological effects of pentathiepins in human cancer cell lines and deriving structure–activity relationships. In addition, she gained teaching experience as a teaching assistant in the Clinical Chemistry laboratory course for pharmacy students and supervised several successful thesis projects as well as international visiting researchers.
Since November 2021, Lisa Wolff has been working as a postdoctoral researcher in the Hendrix research group at MSH, where she is involved in projects aimed at optimizing cerebral organoid models. She also organizes the networking meeting “Organoids in the North” and is a member of the organizing committee of the international CAOS Symposium (Conference on Advancements in Organoid Sciences).
