»Injury Epidemiology in Paralympic Wheelchair Basketball«

Musculoskeletal injuries occurring in the course of athletic training or competition are a great burden for affected athletes, clubs and the health system. While studies in Olympic sports have been carried out regularly for many years, comparable studies in paralmypical sports are rare. The aim of the study is to build on the results of the Wheelchair Basketball World Cup 2018 to prospectively monitor injuries systematically during a season in the wheelchair basketball national leagues. From the results possible approaches for injury prevention should be developed.
