Artistic therapies (music, dance, theatre, art) as a preventive measure in the development of children
The project aims to close research desiderata regarding the effectiveness and specific factors of music therapy for theinclusion of children with internalizing or externalizing abnormalities in school life.
The current research project is the first part of a large mixed-method study with cluster-randomized experimental designand group discussions. The subproject deals with the development of music therapy group interventions for children withinternalizing and externalizing abnormalities in the form of manuals. Subsequently, the manuals and the test instrumentswill be tested in the sense of a feasibility study at three primary schools in Bremen. Effectiveness will be measured on the basis of quantitative test data and qualitative group discussions with the children.
In addition, three qualified music therapists and one student assistant are involved in the project.
