Study without prior qualification (no university entrance diploma)

Admission requirements for our Bachelor degrees are usually the higher education entrance qualification (allgemeine Hochschulreife), the subject-specific university entrance diploma (fachgebundene Hochschulreife) or the technical college entrance qualification (Fachhochschulreife) conforming the law § 37 HmbHG.

Besides, our Bachelor degrees are also accessible for the working population, conforming to law § 38 HmbHG. An entrance test examines the feasibility to undertake studies in the chosen degree. This examination consists of a written and an oral part. Appointments will be made individually in correspondence with the applicant.

Prerequisites for the entrance examination are an apprenticeship diploma and at least three years’ of work experience in the field.

Furthermore, we provide the opportunity to undertake a Bachelor degree through the entitlement to study the chosen academic subject with completed subject-related training examination conforming the law § 38 section 2 HmbHG.
