Acceptance and product design
Technically and economically optimized wind turbine generators (WEA) have the potential to substantially support the expansion of renewable energy systems. This potential, however, can only be uncovered, if the population, and more specifically the immediate residents, accept these tools. The value of local acceptance is being examined in detail. In this project, we seek to understand the acceptance of an innovative development plan for onshore-wind turbine generator systems, developed by the Technical University Berlin. The acceptance analysis runs interdisciplinary: industry designers of the Burg Giebichenstein Kunsthochschule Halle are in charge of the development and subsequent acceptance analysis, a landscape architect visualizes the device as a landscape element, and environmental psychologists of MSH Medical School Hamburg evaluate the local acceptance of the layout.
