Research at MSH

The profile of MSH is characterized by a consistently interdisciplinary and interprofessional claim in teaching, research and scientific training. Under the umbrella of interdisciplinary health research, we understand research as the collaboration of health economists, psychologists, lawyers, educators, physicians, social scientists, health and natural scientists as well as other related disciplines. This brings an integrative perspective on the topic of health and medicine.

Research is a fundamental component and quality feature of our university. It is characterized by outstanding researchers and lecturers, interesting research topics and sustainable cooperation as well as relevant results. With this in mind, MSH has conceptualized research institutes that carry out research projects on a national and international level.

The German Research Foundation (DFG) has commissioned all universities and research institutions with the legally binding implementation of the code „Leitlinien zur Sicherung guter wissenschaftlicher Praxis“  (equiv Guidelines for Safeguarding Good Scientific Practice, which came into force on August 1st, 2019.

In December 2021, the MSH Medical School Hamburg successfully completed the associated DFG review process. As such, our university is fully entitled to apply for research funds from the DFG.
