The Master degree Occupational- and Organizational Psychology at the Faculty of Human Sciences at MSH is directed towards graduates of the Bachelor degree of psychology, business administration or economics.

The degree aims to qualify students to work in the key areas of occupational- and organizational psychology. This includes, specifically, human resources, workplace health management and occupational health protection, as well as consultation services in the field of personnel and organization. The degree further prepares students to independently carry out research projects and evidence-based work in all areas of occupational- and organizational psychology.

Psychology with focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy

The Master degree Psychology with focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy combines clinical-psychological and psycho-therapeutical, scientific and management-related topics. The overall aim of the degree is to qualify students to work on a high quality standard in any field of clinical psychology and psychotherapy. This includes – in line with the relevant Bachelor degree in psychology – skills required for entering the psychotherapeutic training.
By acquiring the Master degree of Science students provide evidence about their capacity to carry out high-level academic work, to think critically and to carry out practical work with a reflective approach.

As a first private academic institute, the MSH Medical School Hamburg has been accredited by the Berufsverband Deutscher Psychologinnen und Psychologen for the BDP-membership for the Master degree Psychology with focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy.

Medical Pedagogy

The Master degree Medical Pedagogy provides a study concept that responds to the increasing qualification demands on teaching staff from the health care sector. With regards to content, the degree is organized in three sub-sections: educational sciences (vocational pedagogy, economic pedagogy), professional specialization (including the elective modules nursing sciences and health sciences) and the subject social sciences. The degree is conceptualized as a teaching degree. Throughout Germany, it is the first extra-occupational degree that is offered at a private academic institute that qualifies for cross-subject teaching a public vocational schools of the health care sector.
