Current demographic trends indicate that the academisation of the health care professions will continue to increase and innovative tertiary education-based concepts are on demand. As a result of these developments, there will be a strong interest on qualified teaching staff in the years to come. The Master degree Medical and Health Education at MSH trains and qualifies experts undergoing medical training or those from the health care professions. The degree is directed towards graduates that intend to work in teaching- or management professions from the fields of medicine, medical pedagogy, medical management, therapeutic sciences and nursing. Emphasis can be put in the area of patient training and –consulting. Graduates from the Master degree obtain the degree Master of Arts.

The Master degree Nursing and Care Pedagogy (M.A.) at the Faculty of Health at MSH is a degree that takes into account the increasing qualification demands on staff in the health care sector. The degree is a teaching degree in nature. In several states throughout Germany, a Master degree is the entry criteria to practice at schools of the health care sector. Managerial positions, such as head of school, are even more bound to the provision of a Master degree.

Through the part-time module for new parents, students acquire an academic qualification, whilst continuing in their job and whilst living the family life.
