From management theories to business studies to the entire rescue or emergency service system
This study provides content from a broad spectrum of topics: management theories, business know-how and background information on the structure and organization of emergency and rescue service systems. In addition, several study modules are aimed at fostering personal and social skills as a modern manager.
Cost pressure and demographic change
The demand for academically-qualified executives in the emergency and rescue service is high. The challenges facing rescue service management have been growing for years, and the development of target-oriented solutions is becoming increasingly complex: Growing cost pressure, demographic change and operative changes are only a few of the major keywords. There is an urgent need for Rescue Managers who can put their expertise into practice and, not only manage the rescue service, but also develop it innovatively and scientifically from within.
As a matter of course, the Rescue Management Bachelor's program, like all MSH programs, is state-recognized and accredited.

Rescue service in upheaval
The healthcare system in Germany - and thus also the emergency or rescue service - is undergoing a period of upheaval and is currently subject to a particular developmental dynamic. Due to the change in medical, social, legal and economic conditions, the demands placed on the management of rescue services have increased significantly in recent years. However, in many instances, the previous qualifications of management staff in the rescue service do not meet existing needs.
In order for aid organizations and rescue service companies to remain competitive in the long run, they need management with in-depth knowledge of the organization and the overall system of the German rescue service, with administrative expertise, and able to assume socially-competent responsibility for personnel.
Linking theory with practice
Against this background, the Bachelor’s program Rescue Management ensures that you are highly qualified. A particular advantage consists in the part-time structure of the course, ensuring a close link between theory and practice. You contribute the experience of your daily professional life into your studies and apply the knowledge and skills acquired in the seminars - from day one - to your field of work.
The internationally-recognized Bachelor of Science degree gives you the opportunity to continue your studies with a consecutive Master's degree, and open up further perspectives for your professional future.
