Prof. Dr. Cord Busse, Professor for Anesthesiology and Intensive Medicine
»Advanced Nursing Practice – a degree where the medical orientation is characterized by many years of hands-on work experiences of a head physician and academic teacher. «
»For anesthetics and intensive medicine teamwork is essential – therefore we focus specifically on the slogan: Knowledge is power, but joint knowledge is more powerful. «
Supporting patients, understanding their needs, and contributing to therapeutic and diagnostic measurements and the technical and medical knowledge are the key building blocks of contemporary anesthetic care. To work in this field, it is essential to perceive and understand a range of situations as a whole and in detail, to assess its impact and to apply and broad range of methods and techniques. Occurring changes must be understood and acted upon quickly and long-term changes must be predicted and understood on time. Graduates must be able to set priorities – under time pressure – make decisions and take initiatives.
