Studying Advanced Nursing Practice at MSH means to assume responsibility
MSH offers the Bachelor degree Advanced Nursing Practice, to respond to the increasing demands the health care professions are facing. Advanced Nursing Practice describes the work of academically trained and practically experienced health care staff. The degree is characterized by its specification in the field of emergency medicine and intensive care, anesthesiology and anesthetics, as well as emergency medicine and crisis/emergency management. Besides, the degree aims to advance practical skills and to develop new nursing skills in training, research and practice.
The aim of the degree is to qualify students to respond to and handle the current and future demands of the health care sector, as reflective and critical thinkers and as change makers. By thinking critically and by evaluating and reflecting existing structures, students contribute to quality assurance and professional development of health care and nursing professions through the analysis of current nursing activities. Against this background, we also teach the foundations of economics and business administration skills as well as business process management over the course of the degree.
Seminars take place in small groups and friendly atmospheres that help students think critically and reflectively and help them to creatively apply the freshly gained knowledge in their everyday work. The part-time module of the Bachelor degree allows students to combine further academic studies, work and family life.
To support and prepare you for your future work in inter- and transdisciplinary teams, you get to meet and learn with students from other degrees such as Medical Controlling and Management as well as Rescue Management. This gives you a first-hand insight into similar but different degrees, will amplify your team work skills and the experiences made in transdisciplinary collaboration.
After successful completion of the degree, MSH awards you the internationally recognized academic degree Bachelor of Science.
