E-Books and E-Journals at MSH

MiliBib - Quick and easy to the desired e-books

The entire e-book inventory of MSH, about 11,000 titles, is provided in our e-book platform "MiliBib" for you. So if you want to read ebooks on a particular topic, you can easily use the MiliBib. Depending on the publisher, the e-books can then be downloaded in chapters or in full as a PDF file.

All our e-books you can use via miliBib

The e-books in the library catalog

The library catalog is even more functional: in addition to our local book, magazine and test collections, you can also recently research a part of our e-books in the library's online catalog. Best of all, you can access it in just a few clicks. Persistent deep links in catalog records make this possible. These links take you directly from the catalog to the PDF document and thus bypass the e-book platform MiliBib.

What does that mean for you as a library user?

The library offer will be even more comfortable for you to use in the future. A large number of important standard and textbooks can now be found in just one search step, either via the library catalog or the MiliBib.

How many e-books do I have access to?

Currently, you will find almost 500 e-books in the library catalog and 11,000 e-books in the MiliBib, among others, from the following publishers: Hogrefe, Huber, Schattauer, Springer and Beltz-Juventa.

How do I recognize e-books in the library catalog?

You recognize electronic media on the e-book symbol (book in a cloud). In the respective title display there is a dialog box highlighted in yellow and with a click on the »Download/to display« - button you get full text access. Occasionally, the link in the title recording under further information as »eBook« is marked.

How do I get to the e-journals?

The MSH library allows you to use freely available, subscribed and licensed trade journals. 10,000 of our journals are available to you as a full-text version. All journals can be found in the online catalog as well as in the TraiNex in your program archive under the points → To the library: Licensed e-journals

How do I get access to the online media of the MSH Library?

The only requirement for accessing the online media of the MSH Library is that you are either in the MSH network or, for example, working from home, you are surfing with an active VPN connection (at 6 student service you will find corresponding instructions). If you have technical problems or questions, please contact the MSH university management.
