Malin Beckers studied biology with a specialization in microbiology and genetics and completed her bachelor's and master's degrees at the RWTH Aachen University. During her studies, she completed a research internship at the Institute of Molecular Plant Sciences at the University of Edinburgh in the field of basic research. From 2015-2019, Malin Beckers worked in various research projects as a student and later as a research assistant at the Institute for Molecular Biotechnology of RWTH Aachen University. These projects focused on the study of plant viruses as expression vectors as well as virus particles as biomaterials and carriers for pharmaceutically active substances. As part of his work as a student assistant, Malin Beckers gained his first teaching experience in organizing and supervising various internships in the Molecular and Applied Biotechnology program of RWTH Aachen University.
Since the winter semester 2019/2020 Malin Beckers is part of the MSH and works as a research associate with a focus on teaching seminars and internships in biology in the study course Human Medicine.
