Norman Knabe graduated with a Master of Arts in Sociology and Anglistics in Leipzig and in Hamburg. Focus of his sociological research was the analysis of social structures (specifically educational inequities, environmental structures, migration, and demography). Focus of his studies in anglistics were the cognitive linguistics and psycholinguistics.
After completion of his studies, Norman Knabe was involved with the working group of statistics and social empirical research at the HSU in Research and Teaching. Here, he dealt with the educational interventions and the evaluation of extra-curricula literacy promotion.
Since winter semester 2014 he is employed at MSH and teaches the subjects Quantitative Methods and Research Methodology.
Norman Knabe taught Statistics I and II at the Helmut-Schmidt-University and Statistics and computer-based data analysis at the Macromedia Hamburg. At MSH he teaches Statistics and the empirical experimental internship.
Research focus of Norman Knabe is the methodology of social empirical research and social structural analysis. Besides, he has been involved in extra-curricular literacy support research.
