Biography

Professor Angela Kindervater studied educational sciences, psychology and sociology at the University of Hamburg. In 2006, she successfully graduated with a doctoral degree in psychology at the University of Bremen. Since 1995, she serves as academic and as project coordinator in national and international pedagogical-, health- and social empirical research projects. From 1998-2009, she was co-editor of the Journal of Political Psychology. Her international cooperation are related to her membership in the International Society of Political Psychology. Here, she held different positions for the organization. Along with her experiences in research and science, she also developed her leadership skills in the internationally operating economic field.

Teaching

Professor Kindervater gained teaching experiences during her research activities at different institutions as Assistant Lecturer for the pedagogical-psychological field of the educational module of studies leading to teaching diplomas at the institute for industrial- and business education at the University of Hamburg. At MSH Medical School Hamburg she primarily teaches in the bachelor modules Applied Psychology, Transdisciplinary Early Intervention and Medical Pedagogy.

Research Focus

Professor Kindervater conducts research in the field of autoritarism and antisemitism. Further, her research interest lies in the field of intercultural competence and the analysis of learning capabilities.
