Biography

Zahra Modares studied Psychology (B.Sc.) and Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy (M.Sc.) at the Medical School Hamburg. In 2015, she began her training as a psychological psychotherapist with a focus on behavioral therapy, which she successfully completed in October 2018 and thus obtained the license to practice. Parallel to her education, she worked as a research assistant at the Medical School Hamburg and holds a doctorate from the Martin-Luther-University Halle-Wittenberg. In addition, she worked as a psychologist at the acute care and day clinic of the Bremen Ost Hospital and also took part in outpatient psychotherapy at the HafenCity Institute for Psychotherapy. Since January 2019, she has headed the second contact point of the MSH outpatient clinic in the Harburg inland port.

Teaching

Zahra Modares is teaching the module Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy at the Medical School Hamburg since 2018.

Research Focus

Zarah Modares' research focuses on »Mental Stability of Students and underlying Factors for job-related Decisions«, »Intergenerational Transmission of Dysfunctional Schemes« and »Determinants of Sustainable Consumption«.
